retreat…great time

I hope everyone that attended the retreat had a great time.  We so appreciate each of you.  Everyone is so willing to help, adjust, welcome, etc. that it makes for a great time each time.  Thank you so much.

We hope you travel back home safely tomorrow, and be sure to watch the blog for upcoming events.

Here is the tutorial for the file folder mini album we did at the retreat!

OMG!!!

That’s the sound of my cry when I realized that this last weekend was spent outside with the kids making memories instead of packing for the retreat! Of course making memories is the whole point of scrapping isn’t it?

We are down to 3 more sleeps till the retreat!!! I am so excited for this one! Lots of new people who have never come before and MY BFF from seattle will be here!!!

This year I am in charge of the project. I wanted to give you a sneak peek at the kit!

Also wanted to give you more details on our fun activities!! We are having a FASHION runway!!!! We will judge you on creative pajamas, interesting pajamas, or just plain weird pajamas. Dress up some plain janes or add accessories!! There will be prizes!

A scrapper gone wild MUST have wild nails. Doll up the nail with bling or paint! Check out some You Tube videos for ideas if you need them. You can do them before you come to the retreat or bring your stuff and do them there. They HAVE to be done by you, not professionally. Again there will be prizes!!!

REMINDER: If your room assignment said to bring a bed please remember to also bring blankets pillow etc. Bring your own towels if you plan to go to Lava. The school-house towels are not for that purpose. Please bring a table for you to work on. The school-house provides plastic molded folding chairs so you may want to bring a pillow or pad to be more comfortable. We serve Brunch and a dinner and find that there is so much food left (or eaten) for possible snacking,  that we do not serve three meals a day. We do provide some healthy snacks, but you are free to bring a snack of your own. We provide Milk, water, and juice and coffee. If you wish to have a soda or something else please bring it, or stop in Lava.

So I hope that now that it’s so close I can actually take some time to pack up my stuff and that you will too!!!! Can’t wait to see you all soon!!!!!

I hope you are all getting packed up and ready for the retreat this week.  I know I’m trying, but I’m really slow.  I keep getting sidetracked doing other things.  But, I did pick up a ton of photos at Costco yesterday, and I’m going to start making my kits.  It’s such a great way to go.  If you don’t know what I’m talking about, go back on the blog and read Robin’s tips from last year on how to prepare for the retreat.  I love it!

Can’t wait to see all of you….this week!  I’m so excited.  Just to keep you up to date…don’t forget the pajama parade (don’t feel obligated to do this…it’s just if you want to.)  There’s the “scrap in a sack” contest.  I have the kits all ready and I think this will be fun…and there’s great prizes.  Also…there’s the “fancy nails”…you can do these before you come or do them while you are there.  Robin has the project all ready to go, and I absolutely love it.  I’m sure you all will also.  And the welcome bags…just wait till you see those.  Hope you’re getting as excited as I am.

Drive careful and we’ll see you there!

Retreat Spot Gone

Just to let everyone know that spot that was available has been sold. Hope everyone is getting packed and ready. Fun is just a few days away.

#10 mini album

This is most of the book.  The last two photos are the back cover.  Hope you’ve enjoyed seeing what can be “recycled” too.  I’ll bring my extra’s to the retreat…. One last challenge this weekend.  #11 Make your own embellisment.
